Charity for 2019
This year the nominated charity for Carols by Candlelight will be the Anglicare Youth Engagement Programme for Indigenous young people in the Canberra Region. This programme provides scholarships to enable young people to complete their secondary schooling and go on to either vocational training or tertiary studies.

Why not join the hundreds of carollers who choose to come early, get the best parks and enjoy dinner with friends and family on the lawns in front of Stage 88.
BYO – Pack your picnic basket and dine al fresco on the lawns.
ALCOHOL – You are welcome to bring your own alcohol. We will not have alcohol for sale. Please drink responsibly and be respectful of other patrons. For the safety of all our patrons, please try to avoid bringing glass containers.
SAUSAGE SIZZLE – Anglicare will be running a sausage sizzle to add to the fund raising on the night. Soft drinks will also be available.
BUY – from one of our food vendors – 15% of all sales from food vendors goes straight to our charity.

GELATO – The very popular Pure Gelato tent will be there to help keep you cool and refreshed.
COFFEE – Cafe Yala run by the CIT Students Association will be selling Canberra’s own Ona coffee and sweet treats.
FISH AND CHIPS – The Italian traveller will be selling fish and chips as well as other seafood options.
EMPANADAS – A variety of filled pastries including vegetarian options will be available for sale from La Empanada
CANNOLI – Filled sweet pastries will be available for sale from Cannoli Bothers.
WATER – Icon Water refill stations and bubblers will be on site. Bottled water available from most vendors.

Where to Park for Carols by Candlelight?
- Nearest parking is at the Regatta Point carpark.
- There is also parking on the lake-side of Commonwealth Avenue with traffic lights to allow pedestrians to cross Commonwealth Avenue safely.
- Other nearby parking is adjacent to the Civic Pool on the far side of Parkes Way. This is connected with Commonwealth Park via a footbridge.
- For those who enjoy a walk, park on the south side of Commonwealth Avenue Bridge and walk across.
