Kimberley Steele is an award-winning pianist, educator and collaborative artist with a high profile. Having graduated with First Class Honours and as Margaret Smiles Accompaniment Competition winner from The Australian National University, Kimberley went on to be awarded the Geoffrey Parsons Australian Scholarship at Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
She has conducted and performed with notable artists and ensembles including David Pereira (‘cello), Sarahlouise Owens (soprano), the foray quintet, National Capital Orchestra and Voices in the Forest Orchestra, Canberra Choral Society, St Clare’s Chorale and Strange Weather Gospel Choir.
In 2014 she founded the foray quintet, a fresh, elite chamber ensemble consisting of pianist and four string players that toured beautiful music around Australia.
Kimberley became the Artistic Director of Woden Valley Youth Choir in 2017, becoming only the third Artistic Director in the choir’s nearly 50-year history.
